Job Title: Structures Mechanic - Aurora, ORJob Description
- In a dynamic MRO environment, the Structures Technician will engage in disassembling, repairing, fabricating parts, reassembling, installing, and documenting maintenance actions on heavy-lift helicopters, primarily Boeing CH-47 airframes.
- This role primarily supports full rebuilds and sometimes fleet heavy maintenance checks.
Responsibilities- Review task cards and interpret maintenance manuals and blueprints.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machine tools to remove, inspect, and fabricate replacement parts.
- Repair, reassemble, and document maintenance actions.
- Perform frequent removal and installation of standard and blind rivets.
- Drill, ream, and rivet to close tolerances with a focus on precision.
Essential Skills- 4+ years of experience in aircraft sheet metal structures repair.
- Proficiency in fabricating, including cutting and bending, from blueprints.
- Ability to install a variety of fasteners and perform precise drilling and countersinking.
- Understanding of Bend Allowance and Bend Deduction concepts.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience repairing structures of CH-47 airframes is preferred.
- US Person per client ITAR regulation.
- Openness to candidates with 1-2 years of experience if reasonably local to northern OR/southern WA.

Work Environment
- Work in heavy lift helicopter fleet MRO and rebuild hangars.
- Initial schedule is 5 days a week (8am - 4:30pm), transitioning to a 4-day schedule (6am - 4:30pm), either Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Aurora, Oregon.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $52.00/hr.
