Job Description

In a team-oriented work environment, under moderate supervision, performs a variety of structural assembly operations in a production department. Perform assembly and fitting of detail parts and structures and varied drilling and riveting operations; ensures parts/assembly meet requirements.

Responsibilities

• Rivet structural assemblies and parts using all tools required to do the job (e.g., portable riveting guns, pneumatic guns, pneumatic drills, counter sinks, rivet shavers, files, reamers, rivets).
• Read work orders, blueprints, lofts, sketches, and operation sheets to determine sequence of operations, type, size, and hole pattern for rivets.
• Check all work and ensure a defect-free assembly prior to final inspection.
• Maintain and use all logs and records (e.g., MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, PCOs).
• Align and assemble parts to be riveted using jigs, holding fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners.
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area, support the companys 5S Program, and comply with all safety regulations.
• Work under moderate supervision on duties and tasks.
• Support Lean Activities.

• Experience with structural assembly.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Proficiency in riveting.
• Must pass structures school/plate test.

• Comfortable working in tight confined spaces.
• Experience in structural assembly, automotive repair, diesel repair, heavy-wheeled vehicle, tractor repair, and sheet metal.
• Ability to work in confined spaces for fuel tank installation.
• Must pass an online skills assessment test (approx. 30-45 minutes).

Work Environment

Climate controlled facility with all tools provided. Typical shift is 1st shift: Monday – Thursday 5am – 3:30pm, with flexibility to work on Fridays.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Savannah, Georgia.

The pay range for this position is $25.66 - $25.66
