Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Assembly Mechanic to perform MRB (Material Review Board) work statements at end of line (EOL) and final product verification (FPV) on off shifts. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with heavy structure and skin change work, with the ability to troubleshoot and perform major structural repairs to ensure compliance with engineering specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • MRB Work: Execute MRB work statements at EOL and FPV on off shifts.

  • Major Assembly Structures: Assemble and make major structures such as fuselage panels, bulkheads, and structural subassemblies per engineering specifications.

  • Rework Operations: Perform rework created by other shops, not involving bar line or standard in-process work.

  • Skin Change Operations: Stabilize/balance jack systems and cradles, remove and replace skins, and conduct major MRB outside of the normal shop environment.

  • Engineering Configuration: Convert detail skin/structure into engineering configuration through match drilling.

  • Structural Repairs: Troubleshoot major structural repairs per engineering requirements and replace necessary parts to ensure compliance.

  • Component Assembly: Assemble, install, seal, rig, inspect, and complete structural and system components per drawings, documents, process specifications, and quality control requirements.

  • Functional Testing: Conduct functional tests and correct fit, form, and function of assemblies and components.

  • Information Retrieval: Obtain required information from prints, charts, sketches, work instructions, documents, verbal, and electronic information.

  • Precision Measurement: Use shop mathematics and precision measuring/test instruments to complete work assignments.

  • Tooling and Equipment: Utilize tooling in assembly processes and verify work performed meets process and engineering specifications.

  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine minor machine maintenance as part of daily duties.

  • Product Movement: Routinely move product within the manufacturing area and perform necessary transactions to advance product to the next operation.

  • Schedule Adherence: Perform work within allotted schedules.

  • Training Support: Assist in training other assembly personnel and cross-train in inspection to become SIA qualified.

Requirements:

  • Shift: Must have the flexibility to work around the clock if necessary.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in aerospace assembly, specifically with heavy structure and skin change work.

  • Testing: Must be able to pass a plate test.

  • Start Date: Must be able to start ASAP.

  • Safety: Must wear sturdy, full-cover, low-heeled shoes in the shop areas. Dresses, skirts, and jewelry are not allowed for safety purposes. Safety steel-toed shoes/boots are required.

  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks and move products within the manufacturing area.

Pay Details: $53.00 to $58.00 per hour
