Position Summary:
STS Line Maintenance is seeking highly motivated Aircraft Maintenance Professionals to join our growing line maintenance station in Boston, MA. The Lead A&P Aircraft Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in supporting daily maintenance operations for our customers, ensuring top-level service and an outstanding experience.
Position Responsibilities:
- Report directly to the Line Maintenance Station Manager and Station Leads.
- Collaborate with field airlines, flight crew, and Aircraft Maintenance Controllers.
- Ensure aircraft maintenance complies with airworthiness standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Inspect, test, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair transport category aircraft airframes and engines using hand tools and test equipment.
- Maintain the highest level of quality and integrity.
- Analyze test results to adjust, repair, or replace defective components, following maintenance manuals and technical documentation.
- Measure parts for wear using precision instruments and repair or replace as required.
- Perform additional duties as necessary.
- Work outdoors and in various weather conditions as required.
- Service various Commercial and Large Regional aircraft, including but not limited to Boeing 737,757,767,777, Airbus A320 family, A330, CRJ 700-900, ERJ 135 and 145, and Embraer 170 and 190.
Ideal Candidate Requirements & Qualifications:
- Current and valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant certifications (A&P) with no history of infractions.
- Recent A&P experience on turbine-powered aircraft is a plus.
- Experience with Boeing 737 or Airbus A300, A320, A330, or A220 is desired but not required.
- Gen Fams on 737, A300, A320, A330, or A220 will result in a higher pay rate.
- Own set of standard line maintenance tools (calibrated & specialty tooling provided).
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude, able to work with minimal supervision.
- Able to work standing, climb ladders and stairs, and lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
- Must pass background check and drug & alcohol test. Ability to obtain customs & border patrol clearance.
- Basic-to-mid-level computer and organizational skills.
- Experience under an FAA-approved Part 145 repair station or Part 135 experience is highly desired.
- Inspection Authorization (IA) license is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications.
- Capable of troubleshooting and repairing systems on aircraft airframes and engines, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
- Flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Superior customer focus, communication skills, and work ethic with a commitment to excellence.
Rate of Pay:
- $31 to $40 per hour, depending on experience. Yearly raises available upon evaluation.
