Responsibilities: 

The FSR/Senior Aircraft Mechanic will provide essential technical insight, review, and support to mechanics, aircrew, Field Service Teams (FST), and the PMA-274 Maintenance Department on VH-92A aircraft.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as a liaison between HMX-1 maintainers, aircrew, and PMA-274 Maintenance Department Managers to ensure consistent communication flow.
  • Identifying opportunities to reduce costs and minimize out-of-service time, while maintaining a focus on supporting line maintenance users, contract field teams, and FST with corrective maintenance requests and technical guidance.
  • Coordinating the sourcing of approved parts, design solutions, and readiness improvement initiatives considering availability, cost, and operational needs.
  • Providing technical insight, support, direction, and authorization to mechanics and vendors for assignment, overhaul, repair, and planned maintenance of the VH-92A.
  • Ensuring all work is assigned and carried out in accordance with established procedures and maintenance programs.
  • Offering support to mechanics and CFT in the identification of repair procedures and troubleshooting, and providing technical input in the development of specific PM checks for all maintenance actions.
  • Participating in the identification, monitoring, and performance of established maintenance practices and instructions.
Job Requirements:
  • TS Clearance and Yankee White Clearance Required.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years experience in relevant S-92A or VH-92A aircraft/systems.
  • Airframes and Power Plant (A&P) License/FAA Certification preferred.
  • Experience with military rotary aviation preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge of VH-92A aircraft systems and maintenance procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise between different stakeholders.
  • Ability to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement efficiency improvements.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and provide technical guidance to maintenance personnel.
  • Proven track record of working within established procedures and protocols in a high-pressure environment.
Travel: Willing to travel occasionally
