Job Description:

The Technicians are an integral part of our Maintenance team. Their experience, practical knowledge, creativity, and problem-solving skills will ensure that the aircraft are maintained in an airworthy and dispatch ready status at all times.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Administers/monitors weapons loading standardization training and evaluation programs and ensures 20 FW compliance. 
  • Documents/maintains qualification/certification status per the company training and certification requirements. 
  • Performs weapons load crew duties, as required, in support of training exercises, inspections, etc. · Monitors flightline munitions/explosive handling and loading operations, if applicable. · Monitors load crews during operations
  •  Maintains current awareness and training of proper weapons storage and security, if applicable. 
  • Responsible for armament systems maintenance/loading/flight operations, as applicable. 
  • Installs/removes alternate mission equipment (AME) and normally-installed equipment, as needed, and performs weapons OPS checks. 
  • Performs one-time inspections (OTI); Time Compliance Tech Orders (TCTO); and maintains/inspects tools and equipment. 
  • May be asked to perform End-of-Runway (EOR) inspections, if needed.
  • Perform troubleshooting and repairs to assigned aircraft as directed.
  • Read and interpret schematics, engineering drawings, and other technical directives. 
  • Ensure the work accomplished on any aircraft or component is in compliance with: 
        • Applicable airworthiness standards and OEM instructions. 
        • Company Policies and Procedures. 
        • Regulated safety standards. 
  • Complete and certify work reports for all work accomplished on the aircraft. 
  • Follow company procedures as per the maintenance operations manual using safe work practices. 
  • Work in compliance with all applicable Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) acts and regulations, including following safe work practices and procedures and using safeguards and personal protective equipment, as necessary and when required; and reporting any hazards or potential safety risks (such as unsafe situations and activities) to a supervisor immediately. · Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
  •  Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices. 
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Job Requirements:
  • Proven track record of success working on complex assignments requiring considerable judgment, initiative and technical/specialized knowledge. 
  • Able to work well in a team and within a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong problem-solving abilities. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers. 
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook). 

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS 

  • FAA Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) license/certification strongly preferred EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE 
  • High school diploma or GED required 
  • Associate degree strongly preferred, Bachelor's Degree or equivalent a plus 
  • A minimum of 5 years direct Weapons/Armament Maintenance experience and training on F-16 aircraft. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, walk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. This position requires close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to regularly work in both office and outside weather environments. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and vibrations, and is frequently exposed to very hot or cold, wet or humid conditions. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risks of electrical shock. The noise level is occasionally very loud. These physical demands and work conditions are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
