Job Summary:
The Electrical Maintenance Technician will provide both electrical and mechanical support to our plant operations. The Technician is part of a maintenance team of 7, reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor.
In this role, you will:
- Adhere to all safety procedures and state and federal regulations.
- Design, install, fabricate, repair, inspect, test, calibrate, adjust, maintain, modify, construct, clean, service and lubricate machines, equipment, electrical controls, structures and plant facilities.
- Perform and document preventive maintenance checks, inspections and repairs.
- Assist with creation of job kits for maintenance jobs including repairs, new equipment installation, and preventative maintenance.
- Operate a variety of hand tools, measuring devices, and test equipment.
- Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Provide improvement suggestions to increase quality, production, and safety.
- Diagnose and correct problems and proactively seek elimination of wastes and failures.
- Interpret mechanical, hydraulic and civil drawings and schematics.
- Interface with design and engineering personnel, to assure efficient installations and repairs and to maintain equipment documentation integrity.
- Interpret specification sheets and technical literature for mechanical and hydraulic components for the purpose of installation and/or troubleshooting.
- Mark up prints to accurately reflect equipment current condition.
- Cut, weld, braze and fabricate tools, materials and equipment.
- Organize and maintain work areas, tools and equipment for safe, clean, efficient, and orderly operations.
- Perform Safety Program SPA duties.

Also note:
- This is a night-shift hourly position. Scheduled hours are 11PM – 7AM, Monday-Friday, including a paid 30-minute lunch.
- Work is primarily performed in a manufacturing environment.
- Weekend support is needed periodically.
- There is an on-call phone that is rotated among maintenance personnel.
- You may wish to provide your own hand tools.
You have: (required)
- High School Diploma OR GED
- 3+ year of electrical maintenance experience with a variety of areas, including AC/DC motors, electrical controls, programmable controllers, and power distribution OR Certificate from a post-secondary industrial maintenance/electrical program
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years electrical maintenance experience.
- Completion of an approved electrical apprentice program or technical training.
- Extensive knowledge of National Electric code.
- Experience with PLC’s, combustion systems.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and applications.
- Advanced mechanical skills
- Experience performing PMs on hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, and pumps
Physical Demands:
- Must pass all company-required physicals (Post-Offer, Mobile Equipment, RTW and Heat Stress)
- Meet or exceed 20/40 vision in each eye and bilaterally (visual acuity standards in line with DOT Regs. and ability to obtain Mobile Equipment Certification Operation
- Must be able to differentiate colors on electrical wires
- Must be able to sit /stand for up to 4 hours
- Must be able to bend and reach to the floor, as needed
- Must be able to work overhead, as needed
- Must be able to climb stairs, as needed
- Must be able to crawl in tight spaces, as needed
- Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 40 lbs unassisted, as needed
