We are seeking a Repairs Manager to oversee the shipment of parts requiring repair to Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for negotiating repair prices, tracking parts throughout the repair process, and creating and managing repair timelines. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of aviation parts and MRO operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the shipment of aviation parts to various MRO facilities for repair.
  • Ensure all parts are properly documented, packaged, and shipped according to industry standards and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of parts inventory and shipment details.
  • Negotiate repair prices and terms with MRO vendors to ensure cost-effective solutions.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with MRO vendors to facilitate smooth and efficient repair processes.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and address any issues or discrepancies promptly.
  • Track the status of parts throughout the repair process, from shipment to return.
  • Update and maintain a comprehensive tracking system to monitor the progress and location of each part.
  • Communicate regularly with MRO vendors to obtain updates on repair status and timelines.
  • Develop and manage repair timelines to ensure timely completion of all repairs.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and MRO vendors to address any delays or issues that may impact repair schedules.
  • Provide regular updates to management and relevant stakeholders on the status of repairs and expected completion date.
  • Ensure all parts and repairs comply with industry regulations and company standards.
  • Conduct quality checks on repaired parts to verify they meet required specifications and standards.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of all repair processes and outcomes.
Job Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in aviation parts management or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of aviation parts, repair processes, and MRO operations.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and experience working with vendors.
  • Proficient in inventory management and tracking systems.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
