We’re seeking experienced, motivated Aircraft Mechanics to join our team in sunny Jacksonville, Florida, where your skills will directly support safe, reliable aircraft and a growing, dynamic operation.

In this role, you’ll take on advanced-level maintenance responsibilities—inspecting, removing, installing, and servicing critical aircraft components, engines, and accessories. Your expertise ensures every aircraft meets the highest standards of safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction. By following precise technical instructions and strict industry safety protocols, you’ll play a direct role in keeping our skies safe and our clients confident.

Job Requirements:

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license
  • At least 18 months of aviation experience or completion of an A&P program
  • Proficiency in English (read, write, speak)
  • Basic computer skills (ERP systems, technical manuals)
  • Ability to lift, climb ladders, kneel, and work in varied physical positions

Preferred

  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certification
  • Airframe Familiarization (FAM) certifications
  • 5+ years of hands-on aircraft maintenance and repair experience
  • Strong knowledge of airframe/powerplant systems, inspections, and troubleshooting
  • Strong communication and critical-thinking skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced aircraft maintenance and repairs in compliance with FAA and customer standards
  • Remove, install, and service aircraft components, engines, and accessories
  • Interpret and follow maintenance manuals, technical documentation, and safety guidelines
  • Conduct structural inspections and identify materials (aluminum, composite, etc.)
  • Perform routine tasks such as filter replacement, lubrication, and leak checks
  • Research and follow approved repair procedures for discrepancies
  • Accurately document work performed (work orders, task cards, logs, etc.)
  • Use Flightstar’s ERP system to track parts, verify alternates, and ensure compatibility
  • Operate hand tools and technical equipment safely and effectively
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, PPE requirements, and Flightstar’s Safety Management System (SMS) culture
  • Provide training and guidance to apprentices as assigned
  • Perform additional tasks such as engine servicing, aircraft jacking, and leveling
