Position SummaryDavcor Aviation Services is hiring Aircraft Fuel Systems Technicians III to support advanced aircraft fuel tank and fuel system maintenance operations on commercial aircraft.
This role is designed for experienced aviation maintenance professionals who can perform complex maintenance tasks, troubleshoot fuel system discrepancies, and work with minimal supervision in an FAA-regulated, safety-sensitive environment.
You will play a key role in executing high-quality maintenance work while supporting team efficiency, safety, and compliance.
Important: This role requires working inside aircraft fuel tanks (confined spaces).

Key Responsibilities- Perform aircraft fuel tank and fuel system maintenance in accordance with approved technical data and company procedures
- Conduct fuel tank entry, inspection, cleaning, sealing, and component removal/installation
- Troubleshoot and resolve fuel system discrepancies and defects
- Execute assigned maintenance tasks with limited supervision
- Use intermediate-level hand tools and maintenance equipment to complete work
- Read and interpret technical manuals, work cards, schematics, and maintenance instructions
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding work progress, discrepancies, and corrective actions
- Maintain accurate documentation and maintenance records in compliance with company and regulatory requirements
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications- 2+ years of aircraft maintenance experience OR A&P License
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience using hand tools
- Ability to work independently and follow detailed technical data
- Ability to work in confined spaces (required)
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Valid driver’s license
Must successfully pass pre-employment screening, including:
- FAA-mandated drug test
- Background check
Tools: Must provide intermediate-level personal hand tools
Preferred Qualifications- A&P License (preferred)
- Prior experience with aircraft fuel systems or fuel tank maintenance
- Experience in MRO, line maintenance, or heavy maintenance environments
- Experience troubleshooting aircraft fuel systems and components
- Familiarity with FAA-regulated and safety-sensitive environments
Work Environment & Physical Requirements (Confined Space)This position requires work inside aircraft fuel tanks and other confined spaces. Technicians must be able to safely enter, work within, and exit confined areas in accordance with OSHA confined-space standards and company safety procedures.
Responsibilities and physical requirements include:
- Perform maintenance tasks in confined and restricted spaces with limited clearance
- Enter and exit aircraft fuel tanks through access openings typically ranging from approximately 12–24 inches
- Perform tasks requiring reaching, bending, crawling, kneeling, and working in tight spaces for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 80 pounds
- Ability to squat, bend, kneel, climb, crawl, and stand for extended periods
- Ability to work from maintenance stands, lifts, and lift trucks
- Ability to work in hangar, ramp, and aircraft environments, including exposure to industrial conditions and varying weather
- Ability to read and interpret technical instructions and diagrams
- Maintain a high level of safety awareness, quality, and attention to detail
- Perform other duties as assigned based on operational needs
