ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are seeking Aerospace Structural Drilling Technicians for an exciting and forward thinking space exploration company! This is a great opportunity for quality focused, enthusiastic, and skilled technicians to launch their career in aerospace! Help us build rockets and get humans to space!
- Hands-on hardware assembly
- Setup and operate a wide range of precision calibrated tools such as torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, depth gauges and optical measuring instruments
- Interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions and test procedures
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+years aerospace/aviation structural drilling
- Experience in manufacturing, assembly and fabrication
- Computer proficiency
- Ability to perform repetitive work, including lifting items up to 35lbs
- Ability to operate material handling equipment- forklifts, cranes, aerial lifts etc
- High School Diploma or GED
DESIRED:
- Use of hand drills, power feed drills (PFD), Jiffy/E-Tech tools, Winslow guns,
- Knowledge of proper drill speeds and feeds for materials being worked
- Use of drill jigs, bomb sites, tools needed for hand placement of holes
- Understand hole angularity and importance of quality hole tolerances
- Experience drilling through aluminum, titanium, Inconel, composite stacks
- Experience in application of sealants, adhesives, paints, and primers
- Industry certification, trade school training and/or degree in related field
- Work effectively with a strong work ethic and close attention to detail in a fast-paced dynamic team environment with constantly evolving roles and responsibilities
- Experience in handling large aerospace components
- Experience in assembling large tight-tolerance structures
- Experience in a team-based Lean Manufacturing environment
- Certification in Lean Manufacturing
