Job Description:

Brazos Valley Flight Services is a Flight School located at Easterwood Field (KCLL) College Station, TX 77845. We are looking for an experienced A&P mechanic, preferably with instrumentation, avionics, and electrical systems experience, to join our maintenance team at our sister company, BCS Aircraft Maintenance (same location). Our mechanics have decades of combined experience in aircraft maintenance, specializing in Cessna piston aircraft. Supported airframes include all the common General Aviation piston aircraft, such as Cessna, Piper, and Beechcraft. We service both Continental and Lycoming engines. Our team routinely performs maintenance for over ten aircraft for the flight school in addition to other aircraft based on the field. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs assembly, disassembly, and repairs required in the completion of airframe repair, or modifications, including but not limited to removal, replacement, and repair of electrical systems, parts of engines, airframes, and other related systems.
  • Responsible for performing maintenance as well as assisting other licensed mechanics with setting up and tearing down the equipment, tools, and supplies used during the repair of customers' aircraft.
  • Supervision of Junior mechanics and apprentices
  • Required to tow and move aircraft during the performance of maintenance duties.
  • Assist in the cleaning of parts and components during the repair and assembly of aircraft.
  • Performs other tasks and duties associated with the service center operation.

COMPENSATION:

  • $25-$40 per hour, depending on experience level.
  • Paid Vacation time (full-time)
  • Paid Sick leave (full-time)
Job Requirements:
  • High school education or equivalent minimum required.
  • Experience in diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical aircraft systems is required.
  • FAA A&P License is required; Inspection Authority (IA) is highly desirable.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an airport security badge through the local airport authority, if applicable.
  • Must be able to pass Drug and Alcohol screening according to Department of Transportation requirements.
Salary Range: 25/hr-40/hr
