Job Description:

Currently seeking a skilled and dedicated fixed wing Airframe & Powerplant Technician to join our team.
We service Turbine and Piston fixed wing powered aircraft. We are looking for an individual who is
passionate about fixed wing aircraft maintenance, possess an FAA A&P license, and is committed to
upholding the highest standards of safety and quality.

Job Requirements:
  • Candidates must be willing to relocate to Lafayette, LA, or already reside in the area.
  • Must possess a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant License.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with a valid U.S. driver’s license and High School diploma or
    equivalent.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English as well as read and interpret instructions
    from technical manuals, blueprints, and internal Company documents.
  • Physical capability to work in tight spaces at heights and on wings, use ladders, operate
    tugs and aircraft support equipment, and lift up to 75lbs.
  • Work with little or no supervision and accomplish assignments in a timely, quality manner.
  • Perform all scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance.
  • Ensure aircraft discrepancies are properly recorded and corrected in accordance with
    approved maintenance procedures.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years King Air, Lear Jet/Citation Jet maintenance experience, DOC and PHASE
    Inspection, with 3-5 years Piston experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • A detailed knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches,
    dial indicators, micrometers, cable tension-meters, sheet metal brakes/sheers, etc is
    required.
  • Perform progressive maintenance on various aircraft, ensuring compliance with FAA
    regulations and company standards.
  • Inspect, test, repair, maintain and service aircraft
  • Examine and inspect engine or other components for cracks, breaks, or leaks.
  • Demonstrate a strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tool nomenclature.
  • Must have your own tools and utilize personal tools to conduct inspections, repairs, and
    routine maintenance tasks on airframes and powerplants.
  • Adhere to established maintenance procedures and documentation requirements.
  • Participate in scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities to ensure aircraft
    readiness.
  • May work in Aircraft maintenance hangar or outside.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Daily use of CAMP and other tracking software as well as company work process software.
  • Will be required to make entries in aircraft logs and records.
  • Airline customers callouts
  • Additional duties may be assigned

Working Conditions:

  • May work in Aircraft maintenance hangar or outside.
  • May be required to respond to a wide variety of operational circumstances, including
    extreme weather conditions and rudimentary infrastructure.
  • May be exposed to extreme noise from turbine and jet engine aircraft.
  • Full-time position with an 8-hour shift.
  • M-F 7:00am – 4:00pm or 8:00am – 5:00pm
  • Weekends when required
