JOB TITLE: Tool Maker - Metrologist/Laser Tracker
LOCATION: Greenville, SC
PAY RATE: Up to $100/hour

Contract Length: 12 months (with potential extension)

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

Lay out, fabricate, and assemble metalworking dies, molds, and machine tool fixtures

Analyze blueprints, sketches, models, and engineering/shop specifications

Use machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments

Compute dimensions and determine required machining, materials, and parts

Perform precision work to tight tolerances and dimensions

Recommend design revisions or material substitutions based on fabrication or machinability challenges

Solve complex issues related to materials, work-holding, machine settings, and production methods

Operate an optical laser tracker and use Spatial Analyzer metrology software for precision measurements and tooling setup

Required Skills:

Jig and Fixture Building 2 4 Years

Manual Milling and Lathe 2 4 Years

Laser Tracker 2 4 Years

Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
