Position Purpose
This position performs cleaning of aircraft part scrapping aircraft parts with defined instructions in accordance with Erickson requirements. This position also is a "mechanic helper" in any of the manufacturing and maintenance departments. Complies with all company policies and Standard Operating Procedures as a team player. Provide support to internal and external customers to meet customer requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Performs cleaning and surface preparation of parts and structures. Assists with scrapping of aircraft parts.
- Performs benching, sawing, assembly, disassembly, and testing tasks for aircraft parts and components.
- Documents work per company requirements.
- Ability to perform tasks using basic hand tools and measuring equipment.
- Performs "mechanic helper" and general duties in work area as defined by supervision.
- Reads and complies with Repair Station Quality Manual, Production Certificate Quality Manual, Standard Operation Procedures, Federal Aviation Regulations, Technical Manuals, Drawings, and Specifications as applicable.
- Performs housekeeping and other organizational requirements.
- Achieves and maintains task qualifications for all work performed.
- Works in a team environment and follow Ericksons Values Charter.
- Performs administrative duties e.g. Time entry, DAX, Training classes, and use department documents, etc.), as required by Erickson company and department requirements.
- Performs Lean, Standard Work and Continuous Process Improvements.
- Uses and maintains cleaning and scrapping equipment and tools.
- Works with hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals and products to perform required tasks.
