JOB SUMMARY:
To develop, manage and oversee a team of individuals by analyzing, organizing and monitoring the departments purchases, warranty items, retrofit programs, stock levels, discrepancies, and forecast items with the goal of improving efficiency and cost effectiveness while supporting the companys procurement strategy and minimizing plant-wide shortages.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
Prepare, direct and manage Purchase Orders, Warranty Orders, aircraft retrofit programs and discrepancies with offload or domestic suppliers.
Determine appropriate metrics and indicators of workload and analyze employee activity to redistribute assignments based on company needs.
Review and confirm requisitions to verify accuracy, specifications and terminology, and comparing prices, specifications and delivery dates to determine the best bid among potential suppliers.
Minimize inventory while ensuring stable on-time delivery to production lines while minimizing obsolescence and scrap.
Develop, review and approve/submit for approval administrative, procurement and clerical strategies and procedures, which support the overall company strategy and quality management framework to meet performance objectives and production schedules. Must also prepare, maintain and review supplier portfolios, purchasing files, report price lists, track the status of requisitions, contracts and orders, and monitor supplier performance.
Performs traditional supervisory duties, i.e. hiring, terminating, approving leave for and evaluating the performance of subordinates.
NON-PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
May be required to visit with suppliers both at Dassault Falcon Jet and at the suppliers principle location.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field. May substitute two (2) years of directly related experience in the aviation industry for one (1) year of relevant college education.
Four (4) years of experience in Engineering, Production Management or Supply Chain environment.
Demonstrated experience in a leadership role.
Second language proficiency (French)
ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Area of expertise within the aeronautics industry or global supply chains
Experience with and understanding of the offload process
Previous supervisory experience.
