Job Title: Quality Inspector
Job DescriptionAs a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that all parts, materials, and assemblies meet required specifications and standards. You will use precision measuring instruments and devices to inspect purchased components and perform in-process inspections. You will also document and report any discrepancies found during inspections.
Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect Outside Vendor (OSV) parts for compliance with required processes, certifications, and paperwork.
- Inspect purchased parts, assemblies, accessories, and raw materials for conformance to specifications.
- Examine items for defects in materials, workmanship, and damage occurring in transit.
- Perform in-process inspections per documented requirements and report all discrepancies.
- Prepare Inspection Discrepancy Reports (IDR) and input data into the QA database.
- Document acceptance or rejections on the appropriate router.
- Perform source inspections as requested by customers and complete all associated documentation.
- Compare completed products with parts lists, drawings, blueprints, and customer specifications to ensure compliance.
- Verify specified dimensions of products or materials.
- Prepare and complete Detailed Inspection Plans (DIP).
- Perform first article inspections and complete all associated documentation.
- Assist in writing and updating inspection procedures, protocols, and checklists.
- Prepare inspection procedure outlines for subsequent inspections.
- Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for corrective actions.
Essential Skills- High School diploma or GED, or completed apprenticeship from an accredited trade school.
- 2-5 years of demonstrated experience for Level 2 Quality Inspector, 5 or more years for Level 3 Quality Inspector.
- Experience in dimensional tolerance inspection (Y14.5) of aerospace products preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret work instructions.
- Strong PC skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- NADCAP experience is preferred.

Work Environment
The work environment offers two shifts: 1st Shift from Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 3:30 PM, and 2nd Shift from Monday to Friday, 12 PM to 8:30 PM, with a $1.00 shift differential for the 2nd shift. Overtime may be possible but is not guaranteed. This is a direct placement position.
