STS Technical Services is hiring a Non-Conforming Material Specialist for a night shift position in York, Pennsylvania. This role is essential for ensuring that non-conforming materials are properly identified, processed, and documented. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, both onsite and via email, to effectively explain non-conforming defects. Job Details

Shift: Monday through Thursday, 6:45 PM to 5:15 AM
Mandatory Meeting: Tuesday cross-shift meeting starting at 5:40 AM until the conclusion of the meeting
Overtime: Opportunities available
Location: York, Pennsylvania

Key Responsibilities

Communicate non-conforming defects clearly both onsite and via email.
Perform a blend of hands-on activities and computer-based transactions to process and close non-conformance records.
Review materials/parts to identify non-conforming materials.
Perform all associated functions via SAP (experience preferred but not required).
Utilize quality tools to analyze suspect conditions by comparing against engineering drawings.
Manage inventory levels daily and perform systematic transactions in SAP.
Communicate with suppliers when non-conformance is identified.
Create purchase orders and manage logistics/inventory control.

Requirements and Qualifications

3-6 months of experience with SAP or relative ERP systems (preferred but not required).
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Previous quality experience (preferred).
Logistics experience and inventory management (preferred).
Ability to read and interpret engineering prints (a plus).
