What You Will Do:
Columbus Forge, a recognized leader in producing disks and airfoils for the aerospace propulsion spanet, is looking for dedicated individuals to support our organization. - The Metallurgical Process Control Technicians objective is to perform temperature uniformity surveys on thermal processing furnaces within the Columbus Forge manufacturing facility.
- Responsible for calibration and maintenance of electronic measurement and test equipment (MT&E); including temperature controllers, temperature indicators, and temperature recorders.
- Communicate effectively to all stakeholders and understand internal and external customer requirements, with a high attention to detail in resolving findings.
- Adhere to all EH&S rules and guidelines
- Serve as an issue resolution focal point that works with engineering, customer service support, and operations to drive continuous improvement in products and processes.
- Collect and analyze data to identify adverse trends and improvement opportunities.
- Be able to follow written/verbal procedures and instructions.
Possess good organizational skills.
Support continuous improvement. - Participate on cross functional team projects to improve the overall organization and to develop a career path and leadership, with coaching and assistance by the Material Control Laboratory Manager.
- Work within a team environment and handle multi-tasking duties as assigned.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- HS diploma or GED, with 2+ years of related experience
- Must have experience or a degree in Electronics, Electrical, and/or Maintenance (that order of preference to field of work / study)
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Availability to work any shift schedule, including an alternate work week (weekends). Overtime may be required
- Required to successfully pass annual vision screening.
- Previous experience with SAP, Solumina, and/or MRP is required
Qualifications We Value:
- Five to six years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and quality procedures.
