We are currently looking for a detail-oriented full-time person who has mechanical experience in both the technical and mechanical aspects of the job and enjoys interacting with customers. This is a 1st shift Monday-Friday position in a clean and air-conditioned environment.

Position Summary:  

The Custom Products Technical Coordinator position works with multiple departments to coordinate customer’s specialty part orders.  This position is responsible for coordinating with customers from the concept of an order to the finished product.  This includes ensuring that all job orders are complete and accurate along with maintaining customer records.  The Coordinator will be responsible for customer follow-up, research, and team backup assistance. 

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinates OEM/Custom orders with the appropriate production department, engineering, and quality while managing projects and organizing follow-ups until completion.  
  • Provides excellent customer service to develop and maintain relationships with customers, while communicating to other departments to further assure customer satisfaction.
  • Enters orders into an ERP system in order to create custom orders and quote them to the customers.  
  • Collects and organizes customer files for custom orders and oversees assigned accounts.
  • Provides customer problem-solving and is a liaison for customer technical support.  
  • Analyzes drawings, specifications, and quotes custom manufactured products. 
  • Understands and interprets technical requirements including reading blueprints and utilizing tooling and gauges.
  • Ability to perform Competitive Pricing Analysis.
  • Ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.
  • Back up for other representative’s email accounts, voicemails, and OEM/custom product accounts.
  • Other duties, as assigned 

Requirements and Skills: 

  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications and ERP system
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must be detail-oriented, demonstrate a proactive approach, work with a strong sense of urgency, and be extremely organized. This position requires continuous use of problem-solving skills and the ability to understand the “big picture” in terms of store profitability, productivity, and customer relationships.
  • Ability to solve problems in a creative manner.
  • Must demonstrate a passion for helping customers.
  • Strong desire to be a part of a team achieving both personal and company financial goals.
  • Adaptable to change 

Experience: 

  • Written and verbal communication skills 
  • Able to work in a team setting and individually
  • Multi-tasking while working on small projects
  • A willingness to continue to learn 
  • Technical and Mechanical Aptitude 
  • Aviation experience is preferred 
  • Customer service experience is preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time
  • Perform repetitive motion-type tasks regularly 
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs., frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to bending, lifting, twisting, crouching, reaching, and pushing.

Education Requirements 

  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
