Composite Tech

Bring your experience and ideas and help us bring the highest quality products and service to our customers. This role will be an integral part of our Broussard, Louisiana facility. You’ll be able to hone your technical abilities through the manufacture, overhaul, and repair of composite panels and other products/services in accordance with applicable approved data.

What you’ll be doing as a Composite Tech

  • Manufacture, repair, and overhaul composite panels and other products/services in accordance with applicable approved data under supervision of a qualified technician.
  • Maintain production labor hours for services performed within average time allowed.
  • Promote safety in daily tasks, including the safety of peers.
  • Prioritize work assignments to meet customer demand.
  • Participate in new product development to include destructive test panels and first article products.
  • Maintain the general care and maintenance of shop equipment and product tooling.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Capable of standing for extended periods during the entire duration of shift
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components and tools.
  • Flexibility to bend, stoop, and crouch as required for tasks.
  • Good vision, including the ability to focus on small details and identify defects.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding progress and potential issues.
  • Willingness to follow instructions and ask for clarification when needed.
Job Requirements:

Skills You Bring To this Role

  • Basic knowledge in reading and following work instructions, process data, and performing job instructions as instructed.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Capable of using hand tools and measuring shop equipment with precision.
  • Strongly motivated by safety.
  • General knowledge in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, substitution of material data, and applicable process specifications.
  • Knowledgeable in maintaining the general care and maintenance of shop equipment and product tooling.

What you need to be successful

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Metal bonding, sheet metal, and/or manufacturing experience preferred
