The Crew Pay Analyst is responsible to analyze Air Canada Mainline, and Rouge pay in accordance with the CUPE Collective Agreements and provide analytical support to conduct a variety of statistical activities.
Responsibilities: Develop and maintain processes (SOPs) and procedures to ensure the pay-related aspects of the Air Canada/CUPE Collective Agreement are properly administeredLead development of pay guidelines and instructions to major stakeholdersEnsure the integrity and efficiencies of the crew members pay for both Air Canada and Rouge Analyze and validate month-end crew pay in advance of the payrolls production process and take corrective action where necessary.Collaborate with Crew Planning, Crew Scheduling, Flight Operations Management and Labour Relations to ensure legal compliance within the appropriate contract pay rules.Analyze crew pay data and perform statistical activities to ensure optimal crew pay processes are adhered to and provide recommendations to Manager, Crew Pay as required. Understand, articulate, document crew module requirementsParticipate in all project workgroups, modules, with the need for specialized knowledge for topics including but not limited to;Crew Pay rulesContractual rulesCrew SchedulingCrew Planning
Create / review necessary documentation, such as system specifications, user guides, and training manuals, prior to distribution to end-users.
QualificationsUniversity or College degree in business or related field (i.e., accounting or finance), an asset.Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar position. Previous accounting experience, specifically crew payroll, an asset.Advanced knowledge of Crew Pay and processes. Previous experience working with collective agreements, specifically the Air Canada/ACPA Collective Agreement.Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and well-developed interpersonal skills.Self-motivated with attention to detail.Demonstrates analytical “out of the box” critical thinking and problem-solving skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and working knowledge of NetLine, Forum and other PC applications.Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and accommodate changing priorities.Flexibility with work hours.Must be able to work in a team and produce quality output under tight deadlines.
