Location: Hybrid in Melbourne, FL (flexible onsite/remote schedule)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:5, with some flexibility
Travel: Occasional, including conferences or on‑site lab visits
Pay Rate: $50.13/hour
About the RoleAs a UX / UI Engineer III, you’ll play a critical role in shaping user‑centric digital experiences for advanced energy technologies. You’ll collaborate across engineering, product, and research teams to design, prototype, and refine interfaces that support innovative, data‑driven applications used across global operations.
Your work will directly influence product usability, customer engagement, and the digital transformation of one of the world’s most impactful industries.
What You’ll DoDesign and develop intuitive, user-friendly interfaces for enterprise and engineering applications.
Conduct user research, testing, and analysis to refine and validate UI/UX decisions.
Work closely with cross‑functional engineering teams to implement responsive and accessible UI/UX solutions.
Create and maintain design documentation, wireframes, prototypes, and detailed reports.
Ensure all design work aligns with industry best practices, UI/UX standards, and accessibility guidelines.
Support continuous improvement of products through iterative testing, feedback integration, and design updates.
Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Design, IT, Computer Science, or related field.
Proven experience in UI/UX engineering, product design, or front‑end development.
Strong creative, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
Proficiency with modern design tools and methodologies.
Hands-on experience with:
Technical exposure to backend/edge technologies such as Go, Rust, Python.
Experience with distributed/edge ecosystems including:
Kubernetes / K3s
Kafka / NATS
MQTT, gRPC
Pulsar, InfluxDB / TimescaleDB
Observability tools: Prometheus, Grafana
Preferred QualificationsExperience designing for complex engineering, industrial, or data‑intensive applications.
Familiarity with agile development environments.
Strong understanding of accessibility best practices (WCAG).
Ability to present design concepts to stakeholders at all levels.

Pay Details: $50.13 per hour
