Systems Engineer

Onsite in McLeansville, NC

Target salary range: $60,000 - $80,000

Responsibilities:

As a Systems Engineer for Undersea Maritime Systems, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for developing a test program to very system and subsystem requirements

• Develop and implement test programs to verify system and subsystem requirements across electrical and optical technologies
• Apply systems engineering principles to define, analyze, and manage system requirements and architectures
• Participate in requirement decomposition, test planning, and execution aligned with program objectives
• Use requirements management and system modeling tools to support product design and verification processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless transition from development to production

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or a related Science, Engineering field (Master’s degree can be substituted in lieu of experience)
• Clearance: Active or ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant job experience (0+ with Master’s degree)
• Agile methodology experience preferred
• Proficiency with systems engineering principles, system modeling tools, and requirements management
• Understanding of product design verification and qualification processes.
• Ability to interpret and allocate system requirements to electrical and optical subsystems
• Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with design and qualification of electrical and optical systems
  • Familiarity with electrical/optical system architecture, requirements decomposition, and lifecycle management
  • Background in new product development and transitioning designs to manufacturing environments.
