This role focuses on ensuring that products meet all regulatory, customer, and internal quality requirements throughout their lifecycle. Key responsibilities include creating, adapting, and reviewing qualification documentation such as test plans and test reports. The position supports the evaluation of regulatory and customer requirements to determine appropriate verification methods and ensures systematic detection, analysis, and resolution of issues arising from non-compliant qualification tests.
What you will do:
Creation, adaptation, and review of qualification documents (Test Plans, Test Reports, etc.)
Support in evaluating regulatory and customer requirements and selecting a suitable verification approach (Method of Compliance)
Support for systematic error detection, analysis, and determination of necessary corrective measures within the framework of non-compliant qualification tests
Supporting sustaining engineering in the implementation and evaluation of design changes
Supporting testing activities in the in-house test center as well as at customer and external test laboratories
Performing activities related to new developments, modifications and sub-tasks related to product approval (change procedures, contacts with authorities, regulations)
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of relevant experience
Experience and knowledge of qualifications and certification of equipment in the FAA or EASA environment (FAR/CS25, RTCA DO-160, MIL-STD-810, Flammability)
Basic knowledge of aviation regulations FAR Part 21, 25, 121, 135 (including STC/TSO)
Ability to travel domestically and internationally to perform the above tasks
U.S. citizenship is required
Qualifications We Prefer:
Very good knowledge of MS Office products
Knowledge of SAP / DOORS
Knowledge of customer-specific standards (i.e. Airbus ABD100 / Boeing D6 guidelines)
Knowledge of pressurized gas system design
Basic knowledge of aviation regulations FAR Part 21, 25, 121, 135 (including STC/TSO)

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
