Our plant in Tomahawk, WI, manufactures, finishes, and ships composite and plastic parts to our final assembly plants. Join us as a Sr Engineer Advanced Manufacturing. Job Summary As a Sr. Advanced Manufacturing Engineer, you will work collaboratively with Product Development and Manufacturing to yield innovative products and processes. You will demonstrate in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in manufacturing process development and implementation. You will support and deliver the Life Cycle Plan from concept to production at our various manufacturing plants, influence design for assembly, and solve complex problems with the development of integrated manufacturing systems, standardized processes and templates, risk assessment and mitigation, and after-action reviews. Job Responsibilities
  • Lead medium to large-scale projects from concept to development, through capital funding planning and approval, and ultimately through successful implementation.
  • Influence and impact part design related to Design for Assembly, error-proofing, fixture design, torque strategy development, and incorporating quality improvement measures.
  • Solve complex problems related to “Should Cost Analysis” for new tooling and parts, providing new perspectives on existing solutions.
  • Apply best practices with suppliers to develop optimal assembly methods and procedures, integrating with other areas to drive results.
  • Implement Just-In-Time (JIT) and Lean Manufacturing principles (5S, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement).
  • Perform supplier technical assessments and implement supplier technical development plans.
  • Work independently with minimal guidance.
Education Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is preferred
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within and/or lead a group or team, providing guidance to members
