About This Role

Airline Master Data Management is a modern solution for exchanging standardised airline operational data in real-time. AMDM provides industry data consistency across a variety of airline operations products. The software is designed as a set of multi-tenant micro-services deployed in Kubernetes with a NoSQL persistence layer and Kafka eventing.

Flight Services Community Portal is used by all Flight Services customers to access and launch Flight Services applications, as well as SSO access to CRM tool. Flight Services Community Portal offers access to product-related documentation and downloads, news, event details, and product related alerts. Flight Services Community Portal is used to manage customer identities and access as well as product and release configuration. Community Portal provides authorization, authentication and session management to both UI users and APIs. Flight Services Community Portal is highly available application running in the cloud that is instrumental to access any application at Flight Services

The role we are offering you:

  • Manage and grow cross-functional teams of software engineers

  • Provide guidance to the team and ensure they adhere to development standards and best practices

  • Manage scope, budget, schedule, quality, risks, and issues

  • Partner with peers in Product Management, Support, Delivery and Operations teams to ensure efficient prioritization, roadmap execution, efficient product delivery and ongoing support

  • Partner with Human Resources, and Talent Acquisition teams

  • Work with technical leads and architects to enhance the effectiveness, productivity, and performance of the software engineering teams with a focus on Agile methodologies

  • Foster good communication practices within the team and with other teams

  • Communicate progress updates to stakeholders, highlight risks and propose mitigation plans

  • Create goals and manage team performance

  • Work with outsourcing partners to ensure successful implementation of projects

Our ideal candidate has:

  • 5+ years of experience in building enterprise software solutions

  • 2+ years of experience in leading engineering teams (leading global, multi-site teams is a plus)

  • Experience in full Software Development Life Cycle from design to deployment and good knowledge and understanding of modern software engineering practices

  • Experience in driving improvements in processes within the team and organisation

  • Being able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequent context switching and grasp complex problems

  • Experience with Agile development methodology

  • Being proactive and committed to getting things done

  • Very good interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

  • Very good written and verbal communication skills in English
