The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Product Support Engineer to support the KC-135 Legacy Tanker program based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. There may be some domestic and international travel required to support internal and external customers as approved for business needs.
The position’s primary role will be to provide engineering/technical support to assist the KC-135 System Program Manager in maintaining a proactive and effective Functional System Integrity Program (FSIP)/Mechanical Systems Integrity Program (MECSIP) for all mechanical systems, subsystems, equipment and components of the KC-135R/T aircraft as well as provide support for the Maintenance Steering Group 3 (MSG-3) Statement of Work. Additionally, this position may be required to provide support for maintenance of C/KC-135 Inspection Requirements Documents (IRD) and liaison engineering support for advanced Periodic Depot Maintenance (PDM) evaluation and planning.

Position Responsibilities
Research, analyze, and compile technical data for company products and system-level concepts in the projected operational environments to optimize effectiveness over the program lifecycle.
Apply systems engineering processes, methodologies and tools to the design of system of systems, systems and new product development.
Derive and develop architectures, functional requirements, refinements and product designs. Assist in the integration of technical, cost, value, risks and specialty engineering considerations into definition of the product.
Interface with other members of the project or program teams, management, sales and spaneting staff, customers and suppliers to meet group, organization and company objectives.
Analyze specific KC-135 mechanical systems anomalies and/or deficiencies identified through FSIP monitoring and assessment, aircraft mishaps, Material Safety Task Group (MSTG) recommendations, Product Improvement Working Group (PIWG) action items, Engineering Investigation Deficiency Reports/Product Quality Deficiency Reports (EIDRs/PQDRs), etc. as requested by the Government FSIP focal point
Determine potential solutions for any safety issues or Reliability, Maintainability & Availability (RM&A) opportunities that are either identified as part of the MECSIP process or through other activities as requested by the Government FSIP focal point.
Provide inputs concerning T.O. 1C-135-6 corrections, additions and clarification which are submitted from C/KC-135 field units on Recommended Changes forms and coordinate approval/disapproval responses.
May be required to serve as a primary interface between Field Service Representatives (FSR) and customers without FSRs, by providing reach-back support capabilities to establish a means for addressing technical issues.
May be required to assist Liaison Engineering with inspecting aircraft undergoing periodic inspection or other maintenance actions for indications of problems/deficiencies that could impact the flow of the aircraft through PDM. Assistance includes analyzing collected discrepancy data for damage growth, trends, improvement opportunities in periodic inspection requirements, procedures, and processes.
Research, analyze engineering drawings and data, and collaborate with engineering disciplines to influence corrective actions and/or improvements in aircraft system functionality, product designs, operational criteria and technical directives.
Analyze emerging customer requirements and coordinate the development of solutions to ensure product safety, integrity and supportability.
Apply technical knowledge of product support/logistics, represent the organization as a prime contact on contracts or projects to develop relationships, and interact with internal and external employees on matters requiring coordination.
Develop and execute project plans, objectives, priorities, schedules, and acquire and arrange resources to accomplish goals while implementing organizational policies and procedures.
Review and coordinate deliverables with Engineering, Program Management and the Data Management (DM) teams as applicable.
Attend and/or conduct meetings to support these activities as required.
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options (Oklahoma City, OK).
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
Experience maintaining military aircraft; preferably C/KC-135 variants
Experience with aircraft and related systems maintenance
Experience interfacing with U.S. Government and/or Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers
Typical Education/ Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years related work experience, Master+7 years related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
