Summary:
Analyze and resolve production non-conformances, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Interpret design principles to assess and resolve product/process issues.
Research technical, operational, and quality concerns to implement final engineering solutions.
Ensure compliance with standards and collaborate with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
Support on-site repair teams, accident investigations, and post-production assessments.
Design interim structural repairs and conduct static strength analysis.
Develop non-destructive testing procedures and oversee material processing requirements.
Required Skills:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering (ABET accredited preferred).
10+ years of experience in structures, systems, design, or production engineering.
10+ years of Material Review Board (MRB) experience.
Desired Skills:
Expertise in materials and machining, including steel, aluminum, titanium, and complex geometries.
Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
Experience with gear/shaft mechanics, material processing, and plating techniques.
Knowledge of functional testing, repair processes, and metrology methods.
Work Environment & Shift:
Onsite position with exposure to factory conditions (stairs, high noise, chemicals, and working on aircraft in various build stages).
Involves participation in a 9-month training rotation, requiring potential off-shift, weekend, and travel assignments.
