Boeing Defense & Space (BDS) is seeking a motivated & Senior M&P (Materials & Processes) Engineer (Signature and Survivability) to join the Legendary Phantom Works team located in Berkeley, MO.
This position will be integrated with our Signature and Survivability NDE (Nondestructive Evaluation) Engineering team within the Legendary Phantom Works. They will be responsible for the development of new applications of Signature Measurements and data processing within Phantom Works Programs.
The successful candidate will be comfortable with taking electromagnetic measurement data using one or more of these existing technologies and passionate about the development of new techniques and equipment within the methods. Will excel in out of the box thinking to develop new technologies and processes.
Position Responsibilities:
Works independently with the direction/mentorship of the Senior Technical Fellow in Nondestructive Evaluation to develop, certify, qualify, and implement Signature and Survivability Nondestructive Evaluation technologies across Phantom Works
Mentor early career engineers in the development, certification, qualification, and implementation of Signature and Survivability Nondestructive Evaluation technologies
Develop new Survivability Specifications for Radar Cross Section, Infrared, and Mission Systems
Establish Survivability and Signature training and certification program for Electromagnetic testing
Train junior level employees in Survivability Inspections
Work as a part of an Integrate Product Team with survivability, manufacturing, and quality to make programmatic survivability decisions
Perform supplier qualifications for specialty materials
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science. (And Bachelor’s & 9+ years or Master’s & 7+ years experience (Level 4))
5+ years of Signature and Survivability experience
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience):
Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, Software, Computer, Chemical, Aerospace, Material Science, Materials Engineering or Computer Science, Chemistry, or Physics
9+ years of in engineering

Summary Pay Range: $116,450 - $157,550
