PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a talented and experienced Sr Advanced Mechanical Engineer to join our Engine Components and Systems Analysis (ESCA) team. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work both onsite and remotely, contributing to groundbreaking projects that redefine the future of flight.

Role Summary
As a Senior Advanced Mechanical Engineer specializing in stress analysis, you will be responsible for the design, development, and analysis of gas turbine engine components. Your expertise in stress, vibration, and heat transfer analyses will ensure the reliability and performance of our propulsion engines and APUs. This role is crucial in maintaining our high standards and driving innovation in aerospace engineering.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Design and Analysis: Utilize complex finite element methods to design and analyze engine components.
Technical Oversight: Provide guidance and oversight to global engineering teams across different time zones.
Mentorship: Offer technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering their growth and development.
Requirements Validation: Ensure all designs meet customer and program requirements.
Compliance and Risk Management: Manage project and product compliance, and identify and mitigate risks.
Process Development: Contribute to the development and improvement of engineering processes.
Root Cause Analysis: Conduct root cause and corrective action analyses to resolve technical issues.

Qualifications
You Must Have:

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years of experience performing structural analysis on gas turbine engines or other load-bearing components.
Proficiency in linear static, nonlinear/elasto-plastic, fatigue (HCF & LCF), modal, shock, harmonic, random vibration, and crack growth analyses.
Strong working knowledge of ANSYS finite element software and classical hand calculation methods.

Pay Details: $53.25 per hour
