Position Summary
MAG Aerospace is currently bidding on a contract to provide flight training support services for the U.S. Army Special Operations Aviation Command (USASAOC) We are seeking highly qualified Audio/Visual/Technical Engineer to support USASOAC’s 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (160th SOAR) and the Special Operations Aviation Training Battalion (SOATB).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assist in scripting, directing, producing, filming,editing, and postproduction tasks associated with media support. The Contractor shall perform all aspects of the media production process including preproduction planning, scripting, and storyboarding, production directing, producing, and filming, postproduction editing, rendering, and distributing. The Contractor shall perform audio mastering including live and recorded audio. The Contractor shall develop special effects using commercially available software programs.
- Develop and produce multimedia products requirements including film training, special events, and promotional and service-oriented projects. The Contractor shall edit and render digital audio and video, design and create computer graphics, titles, and animations, publish edited projects to CD-ROM, DVD, videotape, and the 160th Intranet.
- Assist the Government in obtaining model releases from persons on camera, securing copyright or trademark permissions as needed; meet with project officers to develop and draft scripts; identify individuals to be filmed and identify locations for filming. Archive, catalog, and maintain video project files forfuture use; archive and preserve the existing video library.
- Integrate videos into lesson authoring software and convert video to MPEG format. The Contractor shall fly on ARSOAC/DOD aircraft for the purpose of recording and capturing video, digital photography, and notes for illustrations and animations in support of media development when required.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of three years experience in video and film production.
- Experience using Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, Author Ware, Dream Weaver, Flash, and Sound Forge.
- Knowledge of computer-based training, multimedia strategies for interactive training programs, audio engineering, video production, lighting techniques, DV and film camera operation, video production techniques, non-linear postproduction editing, and production deployment procedures.

Salary at MAG Aerospace is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $80000 to $120000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAGs total compensation package for employees.
