Reliability Engineer III in GAC Savannah


Unique Skills:

Preferred- Having strong Knowledge in CNC machines with strong knowledge of Siemens and Fanuc controllers for machine compensation.

Preferred- Having Background in Metrology, having the ability to use Laser alignment tools and software to perform complex alignment on CNC 3 and 5 AXIS Machines.

Preferred- Having strong knowledge of Industrial CNC Equipment such as CNC Routers, Tooling Machines such as Haas, SNK, Mazaks etc.

Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Reliability or technical discipline required or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 6 years experience as a Reliability Engineer or related experience. Demonstrated experience calculating aircraft reliability performance parameters.

Position Purpose:

Responsible for participating in the planning, coordination, performance of design, and analysis of engineering data supporting the development and evolution of Gulfstream Reliability products and related issues regardless of complexity.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

  1. Share responsibility for reviewing and maintaining Reliability databases including preparation and presentation to internal and external customers.
  2. Offer reliability program technical recommendations on behalf of Gulfstream.
  3. Under limited supervision, develop and specify new aircraft reliability requirements in the associated Design Specification and Statement of Work (SOW) for new component(s)/system(s).
  4. Review supplier Request for Proposal responses for various aircraft component(s)/system(s) and assists in the supplier rating and selection process.
  5. Act independently to develop own approach to solutions within schedule and cost objectives.
  6. Develop standards and guides to support Reliability activities.
  7. Mentor other team members concerning Reliability processes and procedures.
  8. Actively seek and work to implement improvements in daily processes.
  9. Maintain a current knowledge of developments in the field of specialty and/or other related aircraft fields in order to recommend innovations to improve quality and effectiveness of company product.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:

  1. Demonstrated basic knowledge of statistical analysis techniques such Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), System Safety Analysis (SSA), Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) and Mean Time Between Unscheduled Removals (MTBUR).
