Model-Based System Engineer (MBSE)
Patrick Space Force Base, Florida
We are seeking an experienced Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) to lead digital transformation initiatives within Test and Evaluation (T&E) processes. This role focuses on implementing digital engineering strategies, integrating MBSE principles, and enhancing data-driven decision-making to modernize T&E operations.
Responsibilites:
- Digital Engineering Strategy: Develop and implement digital engineering approaches that align with organizational transformation goals for T&E.
- Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE): Apply MBSE methodologies using SysML to integrate programmatic documentation (e.g., requirements, test plans, concepts of operations) into comprehensive digital models.
- Digital Thread Development: Establish and maintain a digital thread that connects all aspects of the T&E lifecycle, from requirements definition to execution and analysis.
- Digital Twin Implementation: Support the development of digital twins for system and subsystem testing, including simulation-based analysis.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance T&E efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality through digital engineering solutions.
- Data Analytics & Visualization: Develop data-driven dashboards, reports, and visualization tools to enhance T&E decision-making.
- Training & Stakeholder Engagement: Educate and support engineers, program managers, and leadership on MBSE methodologies, digital engineering adoption, and best practices.
- Collaboration: Work closely with contractors, test engineers, and program offices to advance digitally enabled T&E concepts and integrate digital engineering across teams.
Qualifications:
- Security Clearance: Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in STEM (highly preferred).
- 3+ years in digital engineering, MBSE, or a related field (T&E experience in a DoD setting is a plus).
- Strong expertise in systems engineering, MBSE, and SysML modeling.
- Hands-on experience with Cameo Systems Modeler or similar MBSE tools.
- Familiarity with DoD systems engineering processes and T&E methodologies.
- Technical & Interpersonal Skills:
- Ability to develop, interpret, and analyze digital models within SysML.
- Effective communicator, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to multidisciplinary teams.
- Travel: Occasional travel (~10) to contractor facilities, test sites, and program locations for collaboration on MBSE-related activities.
Desired Certifications:
- Object Management Group (OMG) Certified Systems Modeling Language (SysML) Professional (OCSMP - Fundamental, Intermediate, or Advanced).
- Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP).
Desired Qualification:
- Digital Engineering Tools: CAD, CAE, PLM, Dassault Systèmes, 3DExperience, Ansys, DataLab, Vault.
- DoD & T&E Tools: TRMC / JMETC tools (Cheetas, Safari, TENA, etc.).
- Agile & DevOps: Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Agile methodologies.
- Cloud-Based Digital Engineering: Experience with LaunchPad or similar platforms.
