The Lead Engineer – Repair Development is responsible for repair development of Aircraft Jet Engine rotating parts at GE Aerospace Bangalore Engineering Center. All activities relating to enhancing services technology integrating customer data, or capturing engines/products reliability, availability, maintenance, safety and other performance parameters. Includes hourly, nonexempt and exempt employees as well as manager roles responsible solely for these activities. Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. - Development of repair and inspection technologies, process qualification, industrialization. Related program deliverables to repair facilities for new and updated processes.

Ideal Candidate:
Should have experience in mechanical design and repair of gas turbine rotating parts components.
Required Qualification
- PhD / MTech / MS / BE from an accredited university or college in Mechanical, Aerospace, or closely related field of Engineering.
- 4+ years of experience in a relevant engineering role with mechanical design and repair of gas turbine rotating parts components.
- In-depth understanding of mechanical design fundamentals.
- In-depth understanding & use of Finite Element Methods tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Demonstrated Project Management skills.
