PDS Tech Commercial is on the hunt for a passionate and skilled Fatigue and Damage Tolerance (F&DT) Engineer to join our dynamic Product Development team in Wichita, Kansas. As a key member of our engineering team, you’ll be tasked with ensuring the structural integrity of the next generation of aircraft. Your expertise will directly contribute to high-performance designs and innovative solutions that redefine aviation safety and durability.
What Youll Be Doing:
As an F&DT Engineer, your role will be pivotal in shaping the future of aircraft structures. You’ll be responsible for:
Conducting complex fatigue and damage tolerance analyses for metallic parts, ensuring that every component meets stringent structural integrity standards.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop design solutions that balance performance, safety, and weight efficiency.
Performing trade studies, detail part sizing, and certification activities to support the airframe structure’s design, testing, and in-service performance.
Documenting analyses and providing technical support for the validation and sign-off of airframe structures, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
Liaising with design and fatigue departments to develop the most effective, innovative, and cost-efficient solutions for our aircraft structures.
Who Were Looking For:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science (BS) in Engineering (Aero, Civil, Mechanical) with a strong background in structural design and mechanics of materials.
At least 9 years of experience in airframe structures or system installations, with significant experience in metallic/composite airframe design.
Proven expertise in fatigue and damage tolerance analysis for complex aircraft structures.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with electrical harnesses, fuel lines, and hydraulic systems in airframe structures.
Background in working with composite materials and advanced analysis software tools for F&DT.

Pay Details: $73.00 to $85.00 per hour
