MISSION
To perform routine tasks, processes or experiments to test processes, determine the material and physical properties of ceramics, waxes, metals, alloys and/or parts. To assist technical/production technicians IV,s and engineers in testing and evaluation tasks and relieve them of routine work.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Under close supervision, performs repetitive or routine technical/production tasks, processes, test or studies of a manual or technical nature. Assumes responsibility for performing and evaluating an assignment once the objectives and methods are outlined.
- Gathers, records and summarizes data; may prepare simple charts or graphs.
- Writes reports or memos on projects or results, as necessary.
- Provides overall assistance to technicians IV,s and/or engineers. Works to specific outlines provided by supervisor and has work reviewed regularly.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
- Basic knowledge of laboratory/technical sciences.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to follow through on the steps required to complete a task after it is outlined.
