Minimum Experience
- Experience with FlightSafety training device maintenance and repair preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge and expertise for this level usually results from internal progressive experience. However, selection for this position is based on the demonstrated ability of the person to successfully fulfill the requirements listed.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Familiarity with software structures, general configuration control practices, languages, and applications associated with the simulators in order to make modifications, updates and changes.
- Fluency in English, through both verbal and written communications; Able to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; Able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and customers.
- Able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume; Able to apply concepts of basic algebra.
- Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; Able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Valid Driver’s License, where applicable. Able to obtain a United States Passport
Physical Demands and Work Environment
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
