Our team is driving the hiring process for an Engineer Material Process 3 with a minimum of 10 years of experience and a Bachelors degree in Chemistry or Metallurgy. As an Engineer Material Process 3, you will play a key role in analyzing, researching, designing, and developing materials and related fabrication processes to optimize material use in engineering design for structures, systems, and subsystems. Ideal candidates will possess strong analytical skills and experience working with metallic, non-metallic, and composite materials in engineering and manufacturing settings.
Key Responsibilities:Analyze, research, design, and develop materials to optimize their use in engineering applications.
Apply principles of chemistry, physics, and material behavior to develop and refine specifications for metallic, non-metallic, and composite materials.
Develop, analyze, and apply material properties, design allowables, and quality engineering specifications.
Conduct material analyses, including failure analysis, life predictions, and defining requirements and specifications.
Collaborate with design and production teams to improve material performance and processes.
Review and approve subcontractor material processing procedures as needed.
Basic Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Metallurgy.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years in materials engineering or related fields.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting specifications, particularly in compliance with NASA standards.
Preferred Qualifications:Hands-on experience with failure analysis, material optimization, and related engineering processes.
Familiarity with indirect and direct materials and basic warehousing operations.
