As an Engine Inspector, you will perform thorough inspections of major sub-assemblies and complete stages of engine builds. You will conduct visual checks of complete engines during oil flow and strip operations, maintain inspection records, and prepare detailed reports. Your expertise will be critical in inspecting assemblies such as compressor rotors, casings, gearboxes, and bearing assemblies. Additionally, you will interpret manuals and drawings, verify inspection records, and ensure all inspections meet high standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection of complete major sub-assemblies and stages of engine build.
• Conduct visual checks of complete engines including oil flow and strip operations.
• Maintain inspection records and prepare detailed reports.
• Inspect assemblies such as compressor rotors, casings, gear boxes, and bearing assemblies.
• Verify the correctness of inspection records and accountability of workmanship.
• Ensure engine inspections meet standards.
• Interpret manuals and drawings accurately.

• 3-5+ years of quality inspection experience within the aerospace sector.
• 5+ years of experience using measuring tools like micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting drawings, blueprints, and manuals.
• Computer literate.

• Diploma in aircraft maintenance is an asset.
• Experience in maintenance, assembly, and/or inspection on gas turbine engines is considered an asset.

Work Environment

Work primarily during the day shift from 7am to 3:30pm. Occasionally, you may be required to work afternoons based on business needs, with two weeks notice provided. Progression to Level A can occur within a year, offering advancement opportunities.
