Job Description

Electronics Technician Level III - Day Shift - 9 Month Contract to Hire. You will be responsible for the repair, overhaul, and testing of aircraft electrical components and subcomponents, mainly focusing on circuit boards. This role involves detailed bench work, utilizing complex test instruments, and ensuring compliance with quality systems.

Responsibilities

  • Repair, overhaul, and test aircraft electrical components and subcomponents as required by work orders.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, disassemble, assemble, repair, and test electronic assemblies and subassemblies, including circuit cards and electrical controls to the component level.
  • Exercise independent judgment in tasks such as making circuit analyses, calculating wave forms, and tracing signal flow relationships.
  • Use complex test instruments including digital oscilloscope, logic analyzer, spectrum analyzer, high-frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and complex computer control equipment.
  • Disassemble, prepare, and inspect components, subassemblies, and final assemblies, such as various aerospace and avionics systems and components.
  • Verify the completeness and operation of final systems for release to final inspection and shipping.
  • Utilize test equipment such as system-level return to service equipment, subassembly component level equipment, oscope, microscope, huntron, pin point, CCA and component troubleshooting devices, and volt/multimeter.
  • Use a wide variety of hand and power equipment including soldering iron, desoldering station, crimper, insertion, extraction tool, screwdrivers, wrenches, and pliers.
  • Support the quality system by following procedures, work order instructions, and continually documenting records to meet AS-9100 and AS-9110 regulations.
Essential Skills
  • 4+ years of component level troubleshooting and repair experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics.
  • Experience with circuit board test equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Associates Degree in an electronics-related field is a plus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00
