Job Description:
V2X Aerospace Solutions has an Electrical Engineer II opportunity to join our Hardware Engineering team in Indianapolis, IN. As an Electrical Engineer II, you will work within a team of talented and experienced engineers performing activities related to design, analysis, simulation, test, and integration of digital electronic modules, FPGAs, and/or CCAs for a variety of DoD applications. The qualified candidate possesses general familiarity with all aspects of circuit card and/or FPGA design. Experience with any of the following sub-disciplines s of particular interest: digital and mixed signal design, configurable logic (FPGA/firmware) design, RF design and power electronics design.
The successful candidate is one who can participate in a multi-disciplined team and properly apply engineering tools and processes. This position requires frequent use of technical standards, principles, concepts and techniques that candidates apply to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity. Successful candidates work in a fast-paced, team-based, and challenging technical environment where an individual with talent and initiative can stand out and thrive under general supervision.
Responsibilities Include:
- Providing support performing design activities, generating engineering drawings, developing models, integrating, and testing digital electronics products and performing trade studies.
- Applying your engineering knowledge and participating as a member of a multi-discipline team.
- Contributing to the completion of project/program milestones under the general guidance of the immediate supervisor and team leads.
- Following established Hardware Engineering processes and procedures.
- Execute design and peer reviews.
- Oversee testing events such as design verification and qualification testing.

Job Requirements:
Requirements: This position requires the ability to access systems that contain information restricted to US Citizens based on certain Federal Government contractual requirements.
Required Skills:
- Minimum 2 years of Engineering design experience with a bachelor's degree or a master's degree with relevant internship experience.
- Competent in electrical circuit design, schematic capture, embedded firmware design, and/or VHDL/Verilog design and simulation.
- Competent in electrical analysis, simulation, and test.
- Experience in requirement development and/or review.
- Positive attitude and proven leadership skills.
- Customer focus and ability to collaborate.
- A self-motivated and effective communicator.
- Experience in managing schedule and resources to meet assigned milestones.
- Knowledge and proficiency in MS Office.
Desired Skills:
- Previous Engineering project and/or internship experience.
- Knowledge of embedded firmware and/or FPGA code development.
- Experience using Altium Designer.
- Experience with Xilinx and/or Microchip FPGAs and SoCs.
- Experience with embedded test techniques, design for test, design margin analysis and design for production.
