Airbus India is looking for a Program Configuration Management Engineer to join our Configuration Management & DMU Integration Team. Within the overall framework, Program Configuration Management involves working as part of the A320 Family Central Configuration Management team.
Central Configuration Management team is the end-to-end programme lead for serial product modifications and customization, securing a single place for Configuration Management decisions aligning all community functions in order to
Ensure A320 Family delivery and ramp up by minimising industrial disturbances whilst keeping product configuration control & stability, satisfying customer needs
Ensure sustainability of A320 Family programme by driving CM stakes with Lean PLM and rebaselining as key Airbus transformation projects
Shape the CM of the future through digitalization and artificial intelligence

Qualification & Experience:

Bachelor/ Master Degree in Aerospace, Automotive or Mechanical Engineering.
3 to 7 years of experience in Airframe / Cabin Engineering / product development / System Installation & Integration / DMU Engineering / Configuration Management
Design experience in Airframe , Structures, Cabin, Systems (ESI/MSI) or Retrofits will be an added advantage.
Airbus Experience will be an added advantage
Technical Skills:
Airframe / Cabin Engineering - System Integration / System Installation / Structural Design activities
Design Experience on Airframe / cabin / System Installation & Integration will be an added advantage
Aircraft Configuration management - for Design office OR for Programs
Programme Engineering - Experience in managing Head of Versions / STEPs / STANDARDs workflow management
Airframe Engineering - Electrical or Mechanical System Installation OR Structural Design
Exposure to Airframe Specific Design Activities (Systems OR Structural)
Aircraft Cabin Customization Engineering / Cabin Module development / Cabin upgrades
Awareness on Aircraft change process like MOD Process, TRSs, Change Requests, DQNs would be an advantage
Awareness on overall Aircraft development process / product development cycles (PDRs, CDRs etc)
DMU understanding and navigation of Product Structure with clear understanding.
Knowledge on Aircraft build process // Good understanding of Aircraft Function, Operation & Processes.
Experience in handling PDM/VPM tools and linking to CAD models with a design-in-context environment.
Excellent Project Management & stakeholder Management skills to drive the performance KPIs & improvements proactively.
Awareness of Airbus processes & methods would be an added advantage.
Exposure to Design and Archiving tools
Soft skills:
Very good communication and presentation skills. German & French is a plus
Excellent Project Management & stakeholder Management skills - Experience working with Commercial Aircraft Engine Manufacturers would be an added advantage

Responsibilities:
The jobholder will be responsible for driving change management within the Propulsion Engineering perimeter at Airbus. Person will be closely working with different design offices at Airbus (Airframe, wing, pylon & Nacelle etc), Risk Sharing Partners & Engine Manufacturers to drive engineering changes / MODs towards closure.
Network & liaise with a broad range of Propulsion, Airframe, Systems and Cabin Design Offices and Program functions to take the Aircraft modification process to successful closure - On time, On cost and on quality
Accountable to deliver the consolidated dossier & present the Executive summary to the Maturity Board (MB) and Decision Board (DB) in time, in cost & in quality with relevant information for the decision making
Accountable for the overall Project Management (PM) of the CR
Responsible to tailor, integrate, plan, monitor and control the change all along the decision process. When required, he/she is responsible to monitor and facilitate the change implementation with all relevant deliverables responsible as per the company/program organisation
Accountable for the change instruction. He/She manages the Product Change team, by carefully listening to each Function Change Manager, in order to ensure that the change (& its Executive Summary) is ready for decision. He/she ensures that the collaboration has been properly applied
Responsible to coordinate/communicate all required program contributors to ensure all program inputs gathering for the decision (product offer, commercial, configuration management)
Propose and implement Improvement & Innovation to make existing processes leaner, digitization ideas through new ways of working.
Able to influence without authority and work across divisions and organizations
Willing to travel internationally and work in a multi-cultural environment on a need basis.
