As an Analog Power Design Engineer, you’ll be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for developing Undersea Communication systems for DoD and National Security Programs
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related STEM Field
- 8+ years of job-related experience (Or Masters degree and 6+ years of job-related experience)
We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences:
- High Voltage DC Power Systems/Module design.
- Experience should include multiple power topology design experiences from a few watts to KW+ converters
- High voltage applications, power transmission systems, power electronics, and HVDC technology
What sets you apart:
- Expert-level understanding of electrical engineering, CAD tools, and mixed-signal circuit analysis/design
- Solid use of electrical engineering concepts, principles, and theories
- Circuit Design expertise
- Analog design and instrumentation (design and analysis)
- Feedback / Control systems experience
- Power System architecture and grounding
- Isolated Switching Converters
- Transmission Line Effects in Power Systems
- EMI test and control methods (MIL-STD-461, FCC / IDE / VDE, etc)
- Magnetics Design and High Speed Design experience are desirable
- Strong troubleshooting ability: must be able to diagnose a problem by narrowing the point of failure sequentially through components
- The use of specialized laboratory equipment, such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment, for development, testing, and troubleshooting
- Experience in writing specifications, requirements, and verification procedures for complex electronic systems and components
- Ahead of technology trends with Research & Development (R&D) experience, as well as advanced proficiency in testing, troubleshooting, and analyzing circuit card schematics
- Motivated to drive innovation around design architectures, assembly, component selection, and electronics design

- This position is fully on-site with some Hybrid/Flex
- While on-site, you will be a part of the McLeansville, NC Design Center
- Ability to travel as needed
