Contract Position
Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deploy state-of-the-art ground operational systems to support mission-critical operations and enhance battlefield capabilities.
- Develop and integrate advanced ground operational systems, ensuring compliance with mission and security requirements.
- Perform requirements analysis, system design, integration, and verification under the supervision of the lead systems engineer.
- Conduct technical planning, cost/risk analysis, and performance evaluations for subsystems and system elements.
- Define system security requirements, ensuring compliance with government regulations and supporting accreditation/certification efforts.
- Lead system modeling, simulation, and feasibility analysis, including COTS component evaluations.
- Support the development and execution of CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and DevSecOps processes.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve system design weaknesses, contributing to the completion of major programs and projects.
- Provide technical leadership, guiding lower-level engineers and influencing decision-making across the organization.
- Interface regularly with senior leadership, engineering teams, and project stakeholders, presenting findings and recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; or a Master’s degree with reduced experience requirements.
- Clearance: Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in system engineering, integration, and test (or 3+ years with a Master’s degree).
- Expertise in DevSecOps tools and platforms, including AWS, GitLab, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, and CI/CD pipeline development.
- Experience with test automation and Agile development methodologies.
- Missile Warning/Missile Tracking system integration, test, and operations experience.
- Familiarity with Agile philosophies and processes.
