Primary Job Duties
With the stations recent growth and the expansion of mainline services, we are establishing a new department: Station Agent Operations. This department will be staffed by one agent responsible for overseeing and ensuring the stations success. The agent will manage the following daily duties:
- Build strong working relationships and maintain excellent communication with internal departments, stations, partner airlines, vendors, and associated agencies
- Lead station-wide coordination with Dispatch, Maintenance, Crew Support, Customer Service, and Ramp Operations
- Proactively network with Partner Airline Operations to plan and execute strategies for aircraft parking, repositioning, irregular operations, and service recovery
- Serve as liaison between dispatch, major partner control centers, airport tower, and upline/downline stations regarding air traffic control and flight information
- Facilitate on-time departures and arbitrate delay code challenges using root cause analysis
- Monitor radar systems, track lightning strikes and high winds, and maintain the daily Flow Sheet
- Conduct weight and balance for Delta, United, and Alaska Airlines
- Complete Delta FICONS hourly and manage fuel slips for each flight
- Run baggage scans, verify search paperwork and seal logs, and challenge baggage files as needed
- Maintain a de-icing log and oversee radio/scanner checkouts
- Plan gate assignments for inbound and outbound flights
- Communicate positively with employees and flight crews, and attend required briefings and meetings
- Provide direction and guidance to station agents and collaborate with managers on daily operational strategy
- Ensure compliance with SkyWest operating standards, safety protocols, and industry regulations
- Represent SkyWest Airlines professionally; travel may be required for training and meetings
- Perform other duties as assigned
