PART 135 AIRCRAFT DISPATCHER – FULL TIME WITH BENEFITS
Work is on-site in Killeen, TX. Occasional travel may be required.
Job Summary
Aircraft Dispatchers, also known as Aviation Operations Coordinators, are vital members of the Operations Control Center (OCC). Supporting pilots and in-flight medical crews during MEDEVAC, charter, and other air transport missions. This role combines flight planning, operational coordination, and exceptional customer service.
Essential Tasks/ Functions:
- Generate dispatch packages for Air Ambulance, Charter, and Government contracted missions.
- Plan, coordinate and deliver flight plan routing, fuel requirements and weather analysis to pilots.
- Coordinate and monitor Air Ambulance and Charter flights from start to finish.
- Dispatch aircrew and aircraft to appropriate locations, according to customer requests, specifications, or needs, using Dispatch software systems.
- Relay transportation requests, messages, or information to or from aircrew.
- Ensure timely and efficient movement of aircraft, according to transportation requests and aircraft schedules.
- Communicate effectively and efficiently with all CSI departments and Leadership.
- Track and follow up on flight progress (Flight Following).
- Communicate directly with customers to gather mission requirements and provide updates and ETAs.
- Plan flights considering weather, aircraft performance, crew duty limits, and operational requirements.
- Brief flight crews and clinical teams on mission details and updates.
- Maintain situational awareness of all active flights and respond to changes or delays.
- Work closely with pilots, maintenance, medical, and air traffic services to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Analyze and interpret weather reports, NOTAMs, and other operational data to ensure flight safety.
- Coordinate with flight crews to provide in-flight support, including rerouting.
