Angelo Precision Aircraft (APA) is expanding its dedicated Avionics Department and is seeking two experienced Avionics Technicians with strong Garmin installation and troubleshooting experience.

APA is a 50-year established, family-owned Part 145 Repair Station located in San Angelo, Texas. We maintain a diverse general aviation and turbine fleet, including King Air and Cessna 208 Caravan aircraft.

We are building a long-term avionics team under new department leadership and are seeking professionals who take pride in quality workmanship and clean installations.

• Responsibilities:

  • Install and upgrade Garmin avionics systems (GTN Xi, G600/500 TXi, GFC 600, GTX series, etc.)
  • Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics
  • Execute panel upgrades and full-system installations
  • Interpret wiring diagrams, STCs, and FAA/manufacturer documentation
  • Maintain compliance with FAA and Repair Station standards
  • Coordinate with maintenance department for efficient workflow

  Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years avionics installation experience in general aviation
  • Strong Garmin experience required
  • Experience with turbine aircraft such as King Air and Cessna 208 Caravan preferred
  • Must provide personal hand tools appropriate for avionics installation work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A&P preferred but not required

  Compensation & Benefits:
