Avionics TechnicianJob Description
As an Avionics Technician, you will assist in the installation, modification, and fabrication of wiring, electrical components, fixtures, and associated equipment in accordance with blueprints, worksheets, and engineering drawings. You will troubleshoot instruments, fabricate parts and wire harnesses, and complete work orders while ensuring compliance with all environmental, health, and safety policies.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, modification, and fabrication of wiring and electrical components.
- Access, remove, and re-install aircraft components including mechanical and electrical parts.
- Troubleshoot instruments in accordance with procedures or manuals.
- Fabricate parts and wire harnesses per engineering drawings and instructions.
- Update and complete work orders and operation details.
- Assist with ongoing maintenance tasks when avionics-specific tasks are complete.
- Analyze and develop solutions to complex electronic problems.
- Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
Essential Skills- Strong aircraft avionics knowledge and skills.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, technical manuals, written instructions, test procedures, and coding systems.
- Skilled in using basic hand tools and operating ground support equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in measuring using a variety of basic and precision measuring devices.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associates degree or higher in Avionics or Aviation Maintenance desired.
- Knowledge of soldering.
- Experience with ISO 9100 standards.
- Ability to install and modify components as per blueprints and schematics.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
