Job Title: Aircraft Avionics Technician
Job DescriptionAvionics Technicians will be working on the A119 (TH-73) commercial helicopters. The role involves assembling, modifying, and installing wire bundles, conductors, and other electrical components. Responsibilities include documenting work performed, controlling equipment status tags, logging critical information during installation, and verifying parts requests. Technicians must be able to read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Proficiency with manual hand tools and specialized aircraft test equipment is required. Effective communication skills and the ability to perform duties on all shifts, under various conditions, while wearing required safety equipment, are essential.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, modify, and install wire bundles, conductors, and other electrical components
- Clearly document work performed and control equipment status tags
- Log critical information during installation and verify parts requests
- Read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Use a variety of manual hand tools such as crimpers, strippers, wire cutters, and heat shrink guns
- Utilize complex, specialized aircraft test equipment
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with other employees and supervisors
- Perform assigned duties on all shifts without encumbrances due to weather or physical location and conditions, while wearing required safety equipment
Essential Skills- Avionics troubleshooting and functional testing
- Experience with aircraft avionics, avionics systems, and wiring
- Ability to perform avionics installation, repair, and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with aircraft electronics, maintenance, and assembly
- Proficiency in soldering and working with coaxial cables
- Experience with various aircraft including CH-47, VC-22, MV-22, UH-60, UH-1, AH-64, AgustaWestland, Sikorsky, Lockheed Martin, Eurocopter, Bell Helicopter, Boeing, Gulfstream, Vertex, and Northrop Grumman
Additional Skills & Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent
- 4+ years of electrical/avionic aviation production experience preferred (military experience considered)
- Knowledge of rotary or fixed-wing aircraft
- General knowledge of aviation electrical/avionic components and systems

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $43.00
